1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Remarked ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Remarked is a web-based markdown editor that provides local editing (Free tier) and cloud-synced editing with image uploads (Pro tier). The Service is operated by AppDesignGeeks.

3. Accounts

You may create an account using Google or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly ($3/month) or annually ($30/year) via Stripe.
• You may cancel at any time through the account management page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. Content Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or store through the Service. We do not claim ownership of your documents or images. You grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely to provide the Service.

6. Image Uploads

• Pro users may upload images up to the 500 MB storage quota.
• Uploaded images are stored in publicly accessible URLs for markdown portability.
• You must not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Abuse the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to factors beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your cloud-stored content may be deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
